The role
An opportunity has become available within the Finance Team for an Invoice and Revenue Clerk. This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for numerous activities including calculating revenue & invoice values for adhoc & ongoing contracts, as well as tracking revenue created and the invoicing this creates. Alongside this you’ll also get involved in controlling & amending projects to reflect the needs of the business, enabling revenue & invoices to be correctly recorded. Furthermore, you will maintain the filing system to ensure information can be easily accessed to deal with queries and applying Retail Price Increases when necessary.
The Person
Ideally you will be a numerate individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have an enquiring approach which will enable you to investigate any anomalies that may occur. A methodical and flexible individual, you will have proven ability working to tight deadlines and be able to prioritise your work accordingly.
Salary - £20,000 p/a depending on skills and experience

Responsibilities
Main Tasks
Processing core accounting transactions on a Sage accounting package from source documentation, including:
Posting cash transactions & bank reconciliations.
Monitoring and controlling receipt of contractor timesheets.
Responsibility for sales ledger and credit control.
Purchase ledger processing.
Issuing payments to suppliers, contractors and employee expenses.
Monitoring & controlling cash-flow, drawdown of funds from finance providers as required.
Maintenance of forecasting, sales statistics and other reporting spreadsheets in Excel format.
Secondary Responsibilities
Telephone cover and liaison with contractors, suppliers and clients.
Assistance and ad hoc reporting to the Office Manager and company Directors.
Technical Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Good standard book-keeping skills, not necessarily by formal qualification if qualified by experience.
Experience of Sage accounting packages preferable.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word & Excel – computer literate.
Proactive and responsible, capable of working on own initiative without constant supervision.
Able to work to tight deadlines.
