Working within the Telecomms industry, you should have a good understanding of the mobile industry, its key players and technologies, future trends, ideally with direct employment experience within the industry Exceptional understanding of the principles of marketing and primary techniques, be able to demonstrate a broad range of marketing skills, experience of working first hand with either graphic designers or a design agency.

Graphic Designer Job Description SUMMARY: The Graphic Designer will report to the Head of Marketing, with day-to-day workload managed by the Senior Graphic Designer. In addition the Graphic Designer will work closely with other members of the marketing department and internally across the company. The Graphic Designer will work within the design team and assist in the development and design of a wide range of electronic and/or printed graphic materials. They must have a working knowledge of the print process and be able to get artwork ready for print. Experience in specialised design packages is essential, allowing them to create and design inspiring artwork and comprehensive layout concepts with ease. They must also oversee the production of materials and ensure all deadlines are met. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Input into, and artwork of, effective marketing campaigns to support the marketing plans for various areas of the business, in line with overall Group strategies and the specific goals of the business. • Respond quickly to briefs to develop designs for a variety of campaigns targeting both business and consumer customers. • Utilising existing knowledge of techniques and software, develop ideas for discussion and approval, whilst adding value through interpretation and innovation. • Ensure a consistent look, style and corporate identity for all external and internal marketing activity in line with Group direction but also sympathetic to Group’s evolving brand values. • Adhere to strict guidelines when producing materials for Data Select’s business partners ensuring that brand identity is maintained, whilst still delivering a new and exciting approach. • Provide design support for a full range of marketing communications techniques including, but not limited to, advertisements, direct mail, email shots, point of sale material, brochures, proposals, packaging and signage. • Liaise with production personnel to recommend and organise best print methodology for each assignment and printing timeframes in order to meet delivery time frames. • Work closely with the Graphic design team to communicate the status of projects and priority so that deadlines can be met. • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: The Graphic Designer will require the following skills in order to fulfil the demands of this role. University degree or relevant design qualification, with direct employment experience that is related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Plus: • Skilled in using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Xpress and Adobe Acrobat. Working knowledge of Image Ready, Adobe Indesign and Microsoft Office software packages. Mac efficient. • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines. • Highly skilled in creating mock-ups and presentation boards for various types of presentations • A team player able to communicate well across the team, share ideas to provide marketing support and contribution to other areas of the business and also with a personality that fits within the current team structure. • Positive attitude, which enhances the reputation of the Company, and a willingness to help out with additional ‘team’ projects. • Realism and honesty to ensure that what is promised can be demonstrably achieved. • A commercial awareness with the mind-set to control expense and propose investment only where realistic business benefit can be derived. • A responsive mentality in order to react quickly to situations and not allow them to escalate into crises. • An ability to prioritise a variety of different projects in order to make effective use of limited resources in the timescales required. • Manage and co-ordinate their own projects, by artworking, seeking approvals from Marketing and meeting all deadlines • Personal drive to achieve results, coupled with the ability to make recommendations to maximise effectiveness.
